Sharing a treasured secret: this place is a hidden gem. Liz and John (proprietors) and their staff, Michael (chef) and Toni have created a remarkable oasis. The grounds are beautiful with lush gardens and multiple outdoor areas to relax. The lodge itself is meticulously maintained. The rooms are clean, spacious, and comfy. The food was outstanding. Only a few minutes from some of the best fishing in the west and a tremendous value compared to some other local options. Can’t wait to get back. Thank you!

River Retreat Lodge was wonderful. Our daughter got married up the road at Big Elk Campground and we wanted to be both close and comfortable. The Owners were endlessly helpful with all of our questions – and we had lots! The chef and food was gourmet and delicious. We’d recommend River Retreat to anyone. Immaculately clean. Super friendly. Great atmosphere, excellent staff and extremely helpful owners. We stayed here for 7 nights- perfect place to get a great night sleep, delicious breakfasts and dinners.
